Paramapadham (பரமபதம்) [Thayam (தாயம்)]

Paramapadham (Thayam) is Snakes and Ladders in English; it was created in ancient India before 1892. It is also known as Parama Pada Sopanam means Steps to the Highest Place (where Parama Pada means highest place and Sopanam means steps). Paramapadham was inspired by religion; and was believed to be symbolic of a man's attempt to reach God. The ladders represent virtues and the snakes represent vices. The snakes carry names linking them to stories from our epics. 

Paramapadham (Thayam) è chiamato Snakes and Ladders in inglese; è stato creato in India prima del 1892. È anche conosciuto come Parama Pada Sopanam significa Passi verso il posto più alto (dove Parama Pada significa posto più alto e Sopanam significa passi). Paramapadham è stato ispirato dalla religione; e si credeva che fosse il simbolo del tentativo dell' uomo di raggiungere Dio. Le scale rappresentano le virtù e i serpenti rappresentano i vizi.
